Our goal is to  provide an array of shooting sports to our University community  in a friendly and safe atmosphere. The club provides instruction by fully certified instructors (by appointment) in gun safety and the techniques of shotgun shooting. We are certified by USA Shooting as a regional training center for Olympic Trap!

We offer shooting events on 3 skeet fields,  multiple trap fields, five stand , and our Olympic Trap (bunker) shooting venue (pictured above). Contact us for event pricing!

We're continuing to increase membership at the club by offering a warm welcome to all students, families and current shooting enthusiasts alike. Come out to see us, you'll be glad you did!

  • We are shifting from our Summer hours back to our Normal hours this week. We will now be open Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12(noon) to 6 pm.

About Us

The grounds where Gator Skeet and Trap Club now exists was requisitioned by the US Army Air Forces in 1942 to train the then Army Air Corp gunners how to shoot "lead" in aero combat.

After war duty it was changed to a civilian gun club. At one time funded by Gainesville Parks & Recreation GS&TC is now a not-for profit organization providing a safe place for new and seasoned shooters alike to come and enjoy the clay target sports.
